I have several projects in progress. This is a watercolor face I did a few weeks ago. I haven't managed to get back to my watercolors since then.
I did some Art Journaling in my Planner, but then decided I don't really like having a Planner. I don't really use a calendar. I don't plan out my art activities to that extent because whenever I make detailed To Do Lists, I never get everything done, certainly not on the day I intended. I was using it as sort of a Log Book, as recommended by Austin Kleon, but I couldn't keep it up every day. I'd rather write in my cheapie journal. So I tore a bunch of pages out and glued some portions into my journal. The rest will be collage paper.
Planner Art Journaling reject:
The Friday of Spring Break I took the day off and worked on these "Trash" pieces. Another Austin Kleon exercise from his Steal Like an Artist Journal. Make something from items in the trash. I liked doing this so much, I did several. I was trying to do one each day in March, but I couldn't keep that up.
I am currently working on four paintings. Still deciding what to include. Experimenting.
Painting 1: Stonehenge on canvas above. Painting 2: thin drawing paper on canvas below.
I don't have a good picture of Painting 3 because it's just pencil and too light to photograph. It's going to be a Young/Old theme. I glued a piece of stretched watercolor paper right to the canvas for one of the faces.
Painting 4: going to try watercolor straight on canvas.
