I decided my previous attempts at Suzi Blu Open Your Heart and Day of the Dead pieces were wrong - too small in scale. So they wound up being part of the gigantic Suzi Blu Pilgrimage piece. These are all inspired by Suzi Blu's Boho a Go Go Show (see her website). To join in, support her Patreon: Gypsy Warrior level is $25.00 and includes extra video, chat and access to the Gypsy Warrior blog.
So here is the beginning of the Day of the Dead piece. For me, it's symbolizing letting things die off that no longer serve me.
Here is the beginning of my Open Your Heart piece, which symbolizes opening my heart to certain things. Yes, boobies! I haven't decided yet if they will be covered up or not. I will be adding greenery and maybe flowers.
THE GIANT PILGRIMAGE PIECE! Figure sketched in:
Drawing of Diana (my wolf familiar) in my journal:
And yesterday morning I started to sketch her in - only had time for the first lines before I had to get ready for work.
I decided to call this done. I started this Art Journaling piece as a reaction to a financial scare, which happened Labor Day weekend. I don't want any more negative artwork.
I'm happy with all the stuff I accomplished during November. I cleared out some projects, got rid of some stuff, even a couple of art books off the shelf, via Paperbackswap. I didn't get as much done during the holiday weekend as I hoped, but I was just so tired and worn out. I needed rest. So, I got rest, which was a good thing.
On to my December Project! Inner Excavation Body Chapters.
