For our new role-playing campaign, To War is Orcish, I did some portraits of Carly (my character) and Tyth (Corey's character). I did them on smaller Stonehenge paper, and decided I didn't like that size. I wanted to redo them on larger paper, the same as the previous role-playing portraits. It has taken me, um...several weeks to get them done. Carly's redone portrait is above.
Here are the first drafts:
One thing I enjoy with the Role Playing portraits is getting the face right, again.
Tyth's redone portrait wasn't exactly the same, but Steve liked it better - he said he looked older and perhaps wiser. I agree - he doesn't look like a boy but more of a grown man.
So, I kept the Tyth V. 2.0:
Steve is doing some writing and wanted some more portraits. Here are first drafts of Sam and Yerba. While we were in Misery we did Star Wars role playing and my character's name was Yerba Mate. (Ha - if you get the joke.)
These portraits are quite sketchy because after drawing them I decided I didn't like the small paper size and wanted to redraw them on the larger paper. They will be in a story with previous Role Playing characters Alayne, Lyssynia and Caylan.
Sam and Yerba redone:
We are taking a break in the Role Playing while Steve adjusts to his new job and Corey moves into a house. Steve and I tested Full Thrust ships over the holiday weekend. I will post some of the pics I took - with amusing Skitch editing.
