As of last summer (2014) I have been journaling in little notebooks that I have kept (vs. tearing them apart and only keeping certain pages). My favorite are the little cheapie notebooks we get at Target. They used to be called 'Composition Notebooks' and used to only have a black and white cover, but at Target the covers are all sorts of colors and designs. I like them because they are stitched and not spiral.
Sometimes I draw in them, even though it's cheap notebook paper. A bit of Art Journaling.
This is Symon sleeping behind my butt, from mid-December. I love waking up in the middle of the night to find Symon sleeping on the bed. He doesn't do this all the time, even when it's cold.
I am taking an invitation-only journaling class by Suzi Blu. I didn't even realize she put me in the class. She started a Paint & Chronicle group on Facebook, and I started seeing the posts in my timeline. Then I clicked to go to the group to find that it was invitation-only and I was in it. She has since moved the class to a Ning site. She posts weekly prompts and we students write and write and write in our journals and post our lessons and conclusions.
I wasn't going to post anything from the class, but I've changed my mind. Below is a page from January 6th.
I'm not going to post the detailed prompts or explain the assignments. The class is invitation-only so I don't want to post any of Suzi's content. Just some of my drawings that I really like. Some of the word prompts may be included. This class has been planned out for the entire year.
From January 7th: Symon sleeping on me:
Joy, January 17th:
I did some pages out of order because I glued in drawing paper, then kept writing. More writing about Happiness and Joy, January 12th:
Face drawing, minus all the writing that was on the pages:
Service. Self Care.
Often I sketch a face which ends up reflecting what I was writing about.
