I had to have a post dedicated to Emmet. And Mooshie, too. But we loved Emmett so much. It was really hard when we lost him in 2003, to renal failure. We only had him two years. We like to think that we gave him two good years to finish out his life. RIP Emmett, we love you and miss you still!
He was such a great cat. Easygoing. Snuggly. He often settled right in my lap.
But he would let me know when he'd had enough snuggling.
He settled right in. And didn't even mind that he had to live with a crazy old lady cat (Mooshie). He didn't seem to mind that our apartment was so small.
He had very sensitive ears. If the t.v. was too loud, he would retreat to the closet, until we turned it down. Once I got irate over an editorial in the paper and Emmett marched right over and tore up the paper with his teeth. I was being too loud and that paper thing was obviously the cause.
And Steve took this pic of Emmett looking straight up from the floor:
Emmett had a Funny Butt. The black fur was patterned into two points but when he stood up it made a little white circle on his butt. We thought that was so funny. We would tickle his butt and say he had a Funny Butt, and he'd coo and turn around and nudge us.
Mooshie. Bitch Cat.
They loved the window.
