Pix from trip to Georgia:
This is a cottage belonging to a friend of my sister's. She was out of town and let us use it, since we thought there wouldn't be enough space at B.'s. We were the only ones who stayed there. My brother drove us out to look at it, and it was SO COOL we wanted to stay one night.
We brought our own beer. We also had to shower, but there was no shampoo, so we used this green tea gel handsoap. There was also no shower curtain, just a showerhead coming straight down from the ceiling - very odd. We did NOT do anything in a stranger's bed! We didn't even disturb the covers. We slept on top of the made bed, covered up with a sheet my sister left for anyone sleeping on the futon.
The front door didn't lock! It was so weird. I know the cottage is in a rural area, but I would never have a house with a door that didn't lock. The doorknob didn't lock, and the door had a deadbolt, but the deadbolt didn't match up with the hole for the deadbolt, like she got a new door that wasn't like the old door. We put a chair under the doorknob. There were two other doors that did lock.
There was no t.v. I found an Oprah magazine in the living room, and Steve found a raw foods cookbook in the kitchen, so we read a bit, drank our beer, and that was our entertainment for the night. We each drank two beers, and left the remaining two for her, a surprise when she gets home. That was our little night away.
