Biography
I have been working on this art project since 1997, at the end of my graduate school program. It was my final project before earning my Master of Fine Arts degree. Since then, I have continued the work, but have not succeeded in getting it "out there," nor have I solved the problem of taking the journaling/sketching work to larger pieces that could be exhibited or sold. Still working on that, so stay tuned! Unable to support myself as an artist, I had to return to office crap jobs to pay the bills. Since graduation in Memphis, TN, my husband Steve and I have lived in Seattle, WA, Springfield, MO and now the D.C./Baltimore area in Maryland. I am choosing to remain anonymous for now, because I don't want the Blog to interfere with my office crap job.
I will be posting a personal artistic history. The little journal pieces will be coming in the Fall of 1997. So far I have selections of the Memphis years scanned (Fall 1997 to July 2000). This includes the move to Seattle. I am only scanning selections because of the vast number of pieces. I'm trying to hit the important events of each time period. Soon I will also begin scanning current j. pieces. So, for awhile, I will have old and new pieces on here concurrently. There are an awful lot of them!
